NAVFAC Hawaii hosts 4th annual Government Procurement Industry Forum
Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC), Hawaii hosted its fourth annual Government Procurement Industry Forum at the Oahu Veterans Center in Honolulu, Hawaii Aug. 5, 2026.
More than 200 government contractors and industry partners attended the forum, which focused on strengthening relationships and helping small businesses understand contracting opportunities with the Navy.
Capt. Weurielus "Trey" Johnson, commanding officer for NAVFAC Hawaii, provided opening remarks highlighting the importance of partnerships between the command and industry.
The forum included a question-and-answer session, followed by presentations from NAVFAC Hawaii departments and industry partners, providing information on their missions, contracting opportunities and the federal procurement process.
The event gave small businesses an opportunity to engage directly with NAVFAC Hawaii leadership and subject matter experts, ask questions and gain a better understanding of how to compete for government contracts.
"Look for opportunities to provide us with candid feedback on how NAVFAC Hawaii can do better and help you all do better," said Johnson. "So we can ensure that the warfighters we provide support to, can do absolutely what they need to be successful."
NAVFAC Hawaii's mission is to plan, build, and maintain quality, sustainable facilities through contracting, construction and engineering services to supported commands and other federal agency customers in the state of Hawaii.
